Back To The Fountain of Youth, St. Augustine
Remember when I visited the Fountain of Youth during hubby's birthday weekend? We headed back there a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to take my family to this historical site. I didn't mind re-visiting as there is so much to do on the property and we didn't get to everything last time. We still missed a few things during this visit as well. Once we arrived in St. Augustine, we checked into the hotel, dropped our bags off and immediately made the ten minute walk over to the park. I won't get into a lengthy post about it since I did that last time, so just enjoy the photo diary.
So I couldn't go back to the Fountain of Youth without visiting my new friend. To be honest, he was the main reason why I wanted to re-visit so that my sister could hear the stories that he shared with me first hand. Like I mentioned during my first visit, our children are being fed a lot of false information that they need to unlearn. Especially just having celebrated Thanksgiving two days before our trip, I wanted her to have this experience. She was really into it and had such an eye-opening experience. Of course my mom being super extra asked Eric if he could perform a traditional Native American dance for us. He didn't dance, but he was kind enough to share a song with us.
I can't get enough of St. Augustine and have a few more photos and posts I need to share with you about this trip before the year comes to close, which is in a matter of days. I can't even believe it. Our weekend road trips have become such a major part of my self care. It's amazing what a quick trip out of town can do. I can't wait to share more.
