The DressBar at Dressbarn with J's Everyday Fashion

Have you heard about the DRESSBAR by Dressbarn? It's a collection of fresh and youthful deigns that are completely different than the image you had of The Dressbarn while growing up. The designs are more modern and very affordable - ranging from $40-$80 - which works perfectly for the average working gal like myself. Additionally, the sizing runs from size 4 up to a 24. Seriously, DRESSBAR by Dressbarn works for everyone! When I got the opportunity to try a few pieces of DRESSBAR at Dressbarn with J's Everyday Fashion and Christine of Raising Whasians, I was able to see first hand how the collection works for the everyday woman of all shapes and sizes. Whether you're a curvier body type like myself, straight sized like J or petite like Christie, there's something in this collection for you.

If you've been around here for a while, you know that bright colors and prints are my part of my everyday style. The Belted Fit And Flare Dress was right up my ally. It's perfect for work and church. I could even see this as a bridesmaid dress depending on the brides taste. I typically wear a size 14 in dresses but I was under the impression that this would run small so I ordered 2 sizes up and ended up having to pin it in the back. Due to this experience I would say that the size 14 would have been perfectly fine. I'd stay true to size next time. I'm looking forward to trying this in a 14 as this would be a great addition to my wardrobe For my fellow curvy and/or plus size ladies, this is a great dress if you're looking for something conservative, yet youthful and fun.

The special thing about the Pink Lace Print Sheath Dress ($48)  is that your purchase will result in a 25% donation to Breast Cancer Awareness through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If you're like me and working with a bit more fluff in the mid section, this is a dress that you will want to make sure that you have the right undergarment for. If Spanx are apart of your arsenal, you'll want to utilize them for this dress. While the fabric is beautiful it isn't forgiving. This is a fantastic dress for a wedding or just about any special occasion you have planned on your social calendar.

The MiXT by Heidi Weisel™ Floral Pocket Dress ( $68 ) is my absolute favorite! While I enjoy being feminine and getting dressed up, comfort is always a top priority. It almost feels as though I am wearing nothing. Due to my bust size, I opted for the XL in this piece. I love that the top fits like a comfortable sweater! A belted waist always works great for me and the skirt is just beautiful. Not to mention, I'm obsessed with skirts and dresses that include pockets. I had the opportunity to take one of the dresses home, choosing this one was a no brainer for me.I can accurately predict that I will be wearing this dress often during The Holidays.

Like what you see so far? If you live in the Orlando area, J's Everyday Fashion will be hosting an event alongside esteemed fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo this Thursday. By the way, when I was studying his collection during my days as a Fashion Merchandising student, I never thought that I'd have the opportunity to meet him one day. I'm so excited to snap a picture together and hopefully have a little fashion chat. Christine and myself will be at the event all dressed in our Dressbar selection. Fashion, music, and refreshments - you've got to be there! See the invitation below:
