Laundry By Shelli Segal Butter Crepe Sleeveless Romper
Necklace: Forever 21 | Romper c/o Laundry By Shelli Segal | Handbag: Louis Vuitton | Shoes: Target
This Laundry by Shelli Segal Butter Crepe Sleeveless Romper is one of the best things that has happened to my wardrobe. It was just what I needed to effortlessly navigate Miami Swim Week in style. When I was a Fashion Merchandising major at Ai Miami International University of Art & Design, I would dream of the day that I would be in the front of the house as opposed to backstage dressing the models. Of course, it was a fun and educational experience on fashion show production, but I often dreamt about being front row instead. I also clocked a few hours backstage throughout the years during my makeup artist days, but this has been my best Miami Swim Week experience thus far. I was only able to attend one day worth of shows due to work, so I tried to packed my schedule as tightly as possible.
Along with a couple of my blogger gals, we Uber'd (is that a word? lol) our way through South Beach from show to show. Kim snapped these photos of me as we exited the 1 Hotel South Beach after one of the shows. Feeling like a million bucks in my Laundry by Shelli Segal Butter Crepe Sleeveless Romper, the compliments from friends and strangers were endless. Rompers are my thing, but this unique piece is unlike anything else I own. The design is so unique, giving the illusion that it's a dress, and then being surprised by the shorts underneath - "Oh my gosh! It's a romper!" While this piece comes in solid black, I thought the contrast of black and white option would be more striking against my complexion.
While I typically love to pile on the statement jewelry, I didn't want to wear anything that would distract from the silhouette of the romper. A simple necklace and a fun shoe was all I needed to make this look my own. I think I did a great job of mixing high and low designers with this ensemble!
I can't wait to share the rest of my Miami Swim Week experience with you - this is just the beginning!
