Exploring LA in the 2015 Mazda3 Touring

2015 Mazda3 TouringWhen I found out I'd be heading out to Los Angeles for my workcation, I knew I'd need a stylish yet fuel efficient vehicle to get around. Enter the Mazda3 Touring which was an absolute dream to drive around the California streets. We loved it so much that my husband and I actually argued a couple times over who was going to drive every time we needed to go to a new destination. He hasn't stopped talking about the car and insists that we put this on our short list when we're ready to purchase a new car.

We frequently drove back and forth to Thousand Oaks which is 45 minutes to an hour away from LA depending on traffic, and over the course of 4 days we only filled up the tank once. Being on a business trip, I didn't want to have to make frequent stops to fill up on gas while trying to get to multiple destinations throughout the day - hello 40 HWY MPH! The SkyActiv Technology featured on the new line up is what really sets the car apart from anything else that I've ever driven. Without getting too "techie", it basically allows the car to have the benefits of a hybrid in terms of fuel efficiency but with a much higher performance level.

The sensors also came in handy to alert us when someone was in our blind spot. It gave me a lot more confidence when I was switching lanes. We also had a great time riding through Beverly Hills with the sun roof open while checking out the massive mansions throughout The Hills.

The color choices are beautiful, it's easy on the environment and the performance is superior. If you're in the market for a new car, I highly suggest test driving one of these - you'll be thoroughly impressed!
